Chapter 1

Mario and Luigi were walking through a recently destroyed mushroom village when suddenly...

Luigi: Wait Mario? Do you hear that? It sounds like a baby crying? *he wanders over towards a collapsed house the crying becoming louder*

Mario: No I don't Luigi. I think you're hearing things. Nobody survived this.

Luigi: *pushes the roof over and finds a little human baby* Oh? No one survived? Then whose this a ghost? *he picks up the small baby boy who stops crying the moment he is in Luigi's arms clinging tightly to him *

Mario: Mama Mia! How'd he survive this?!?!

Luigi: I don't know but his whole village, his whole family.... Is gone... *he cradles the little baby* He seems to be so attached to me. I wonder if I remind him of his daddy, or if I just seem really comforting to him.

Mario: I don't know but I think we both know what you should do. Put him up for ad-

Luigi: I should adopt him!

Mario: NO! Put him up for adoption you can't care for a newborn!

Luigi: *holds the baby closer the little baby whimpering as if he knew that one of the bros wanted him gone* I can! And stop you're upsetting him. *snuggles the little baby closer*

Baby: *coos getting sleepy holding on tightly to Luigi's green shirt falling asleep in his arms*

Mario: Fine we'll talk to the king to see what he wants us to do.

Luigi: Alright. Letsa go.

They leave going to the castle wall the townspeople they pass looking amazed at the small baby in Luigi's arms knowing exactly what it means about the village... And that he is the only survivor

King: Hello Mario, Luigi, what brings you to the castle?

Mario: You know Toadsburry village that Bowser destroyed earlier today?

King: Yes?

Mario: Apparently there was one survivor.

King: Oh? Who would that be?

Luigi: This little guy in my arms.

King: Oh. I guess he needs a guardian huh? The poor baby... All his relatives dead...

Luigi: Yes. And I would like to adopt the little guy. He seems to have grown attached to me anyway.

Baby: *when Mario tries to take him away from Luigi, to show the King better, he  starts to cry until Mario gives up and leaves him in Luigi's arms*

King: I see. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to adopt this little guy. *he smiles* What will your new Son  be named?

Luigi: I think I'll name him... Hunter.

King: A fine name indeed. Hunter shall be his name. *fills out the adoption forms Luigi signing them* Congratulations! Hunter is now officially your son take good care of him.

Luigi: I will and thank you Sire!

King: You're welcome my boy! Farewell!

Luigi: Goodbye! *he walks holding Hunter*

Mario: *storms away angrily* IF YOU BRING THAT BABY TO OUR HOUSE YOU'RE GETTING THROWN OUT!

Luigi: *tries not to cry it feeling like a dozen knifes were stabbing into his heart*

Mario: *is at home tossing all Luigi's stuff out and coloring Luigi out of all Mario's pictures of them, even them as babies *

Luigi: *cries gathering his stuff and walking*

King: Luigi? What's the matter?

Luigi: Mario hates me... He has kicked me out of the house and basically erased all traces of me. He blacked me out of all of his pictures of us together, even the ones when we were babies!

King: Oh my... Well do you know what? Since you were willing to do anything for this baby. How about I do the same for you? How would you like to be my son?

Luigi: Really you mean it?

King: Yes of course!

Luigi: I'd be honored!

King: Wonderful! *he does all the paper work and signs ot Luigi signing it too* Perfect all done! Let's introduce you to the kingdom Prince Luigi!

Luigi: Okay! *he smiles holding Hunter *

They walk out

King: Attention citizens! I have a special announcement! As of just barely Luigi is my adopted son! His little adopted son Hunter is now my grandson!

The crowd cheers..
